Absolutely Awesome!
It was the most thrilling experience to finally know the truth within the DNA.
The PatriClan Test will reveal the African country of origin and ethnic group (tribe) that you share paternal ancestry with during the past 500 - 2,000 years.* This test will not provide percentages of different regions.
Your DNA is destroyed. We DO NOT sell or share your genetic information.
Our test kits include everything you need to submit your sample, track its progress online, digital results and complete destruction of your DNA.
Note: Only biological men can take the PatriClan test. Women can trace their paternal lineage by having a male relative from their father’s side take the test.
Your PatriClan Experience includes:
* Your paternal ancestry may not be African, despite your father's skin color or whatever percentages you may have from another company. We cannot guarantee your result will be African. THERE IS A 35% CHANCE THAT YOUR RESULT WILL BE NON-AFRICAN. If your result is not African, we will identify whether it is European, Asian, Middle Eastern or Indigenous American but you will not receive a country or a group.

I have taken other DNA test and received a very broad idea of my roots. I wanted to pin point my African roots and I took the Patriclan test. Unfortunately it didn't trace back to African but I was very happy to receive the knowledge of the lineage from my father being from Spain and Portugal. I will be taken the Matriclan test to gather my African roots.
IIf you are of black decent, African Ancestry is really the only choice you can make to find out and understand where you come from simply because they have the largest number of DNA samples for the black race.
I was told my roots were from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria. I had suspected that my results would come back either the Fulani or the Hausa tribe of Nigeria since my mother was brought up in the North of Nigeria and her first language was Hausa and her appearance resembled one of those tribes. She never would confirm anything to me while she was alive.
What a major surprise when the results came have back European! I thought there might be a mistake at first but when I called back to African Ancestry and had some serious conversations and we came to the conclusion that on my mother's line likely originated from the Iberian Peninsula (Spain or Portugal), looking at the history of Africa and how close those countries are to North Africa it made sense.
As you may have guessed, I also received another big surprise when I received the results of the Matriclan test. I discovered that on my Father's side (father to father to father etc.), again was not Yoruba. My ancestry originates 3 tribes from Gabon (two countries away from Nigeria). Again, understanding the migration of Africans all over Africa for centuries, it made sense, especially as on my father's side they really do not look like the typical Yoruba person I saw during my visits to my father's village/town of…
I was very pleased! The results came back with 100% certainty that my father's paternal lineage is of the Mitsogo, Teke, and Kota people of Gabon.
The specifics and the Dogon tribe!
